I can't believe how much you people like to tear each other down. Just because someone's life isn't turning out like they hoped, is not a reason to wish ill on others. I'm not sure what you do, but I am sure there is someone, somewhere who makes less than you do, for the same job. Perhaps their benefits are worse than yours as well. Does that mean you should take a pay cut because they don't have it as good as you do? Each time someone makes a concession in ANY industry, it brings the rest of the population down.
