What in the world are you talking about? I never said my life hasn't turned out the way I'd hoped, and I do not wish ill on others.

I merely commented on your horrified notion that teachers' spouses and children would not be covered under the teachers health benefits, if they are offered benefits from another plan. That is nothing new. Other places have enforced that rule for years, why would it be so awful for teachers to have to live by the same rules as everyone else for a change?

You need to understand that a teacher gets full time pay for a part time job. Most part time jobs don't offer any benefits at all. You should be happy with anything you get.

Or, option number 2. Get a job over the summer - and work all year - like everyone else. Use 100% of that pay, which is on top of your teacher salary, to buy better benefits for your entire family.
