Folks,

I just want to say that at this time of real problems in our country, is it smart for teachers to go on strike asking for more? Going on strike right now seems kind of arrogant to me. I wouldn't ask for a raise right now. Goodness. We may be going into some real dark times in our economy. Give it a break for now. Settle somewhere in the middle.

Why can't teachers strike in the summer before school starts or after school is out for the summer when the kids aren't in school and the teachers have the time? Sounds a bit more feasible to me than to cause such a stir after school is in session.
