I saw an internet ad the other day for Wal-Mart advertising a laptop computer for sale starting Saturday at 8 AM sharp. I called my local Store in Natrona Heights at 10:30 Pm Friday evening to see how many they had and to double check the price. The cost was $298.00 and they had 8 available but you couldn’t purchase them at the sale price until 8 am the next morning. I said fine. I arrived the next morning at 7 am a full hour before the sale was to begin. The computers were all gone!! Another employee in that department divulged to another customer that the employees had purchased them , one in fact purchasing 3 of them! This is outrageous!! I complained to the manager and she explained to me and the other customers who got the shaft that the computers were always for sale but just not at the sale price until 8 AM, inferring that someone came in that night at bought up all the stock.If she thinks we are stupid enough to believe that 8 customers came in the night before between 10:30 PM and 7 Am the next day and paid full price for a computer that they could have had in a few hours at a 50% discount then I feel sorry for her. If Wal-Mart is going to offer sales starting at a certain time then they should live up to the advertising. All I asked for was a fair opportunity to purchase one like the others. I think it is shameful that they let their employees pick over things before the customers. It is clear to me now that the customers are NOT valued, nor do they come first, at least in this particular case. I think the employees that took this liberty should be reprimanded. If this is the policy of Wal-Mart in Natrona Heights I will not shop there any more. I have taken my complaint through all channels available, so we will see what if anything happens. Just thought I would share this with you guys. I know, I know, my first mistake was going there in the first place, never again. John
