You know the teachers at s.b. and the board meet to discuss matters so they can work things out. So I don't understand why they would react like it is a slap in the face for the board to offer them a 3.5% pay hike when there asking for 5.7. They went past meeting in the middle but the teachers feel like its an insult. Wait isnt tring to work things out about meeting in the middle compromising with each other. The board asks them to come back a little early on their strike which is going no where so the kids can have a little time for thanks giving and christmas and once again the teachers act like this is a horrifing request. My how could anyone think of the children first that is just absoultly insane. I feel horrified that my niece has to go through this. I know people who have children in this school district and even before the strike they were not happy with the way some teachers there handled their children and their education. All I can do is help my neice learn and thank god my children go to Freeport where they just settled their contract reasonably and without a strike. Their was no tempertantrums and blame games. Just good ole fashioned comprimise.
