I heard on KDKA yesterday that Governor. Rendel passed legislation to give Boscovs department stores government money in order to bail them out. Did anyone else hear this?

I am personally upset that elected officials are bailing out the various businesses that are doing poorly not because of the economy, but due to poor business management.

I was an AIG insurance carrier, and guess what I did when I heard they were in trouble financially. I sought out the other insurance companies. The same can be said about Boscovs, Ford, and GM.

Yes, jobs might be lost, but it sounds like that was going to happen eventually. Perhaps the Boscovs employees could go to other department stores who is doing better financially. Same with GM and Ford workers. I heard Honda just opened a brand new plant in Indiana.

Finally, has anyone noticed that they have a little extra money lately? Hmmm could it be that gas isn't killing the piggy bank? I know personally with the extra money not spent at the pump I am able to spend it elsewhere.
