You sound like just another ignorant individual who would rather consider teaching a "part time job" rather than a career dealing with the lives and futures of the youth of today. There's a reason why successful adults in society can remember who their teachers were.....and there's a reason why they should be paid well for what they do. Oh, and don't forget the fact that teachers MUST continue their professional education, at primarily their own expense, to continue working in their career field.

When's the last time you had to attend a three-credit college course while still working a full work week AND preparing lessons, grading papers, and creating instructional materials (such as worksheets, tests, etc.) on the weekends? A part time job??? Come on, Cindy.....stop complaining about something you know very little about.....Teaching IS a noble profession that deserves a noble salary, whether you choose to acknowledge that or not....
