Janet, I agree with you about the phone book terrorists who just toss their crap in our yards making litter for us to pick up. It should be illegal for them to do this. I usually just let mine sit there and rot away. Some times I do get them and burn them in my fire place ,for a little free heat but that is not good to do for the chimney, it builds up cresote.If we actually had leaders who could lead in this country they would have put an end to this nasty problem once and for all. Most people use the internet for phone numbers but, a few others who still haven't kept up with the times do need the books. I'm with you.The ones who need and want them should be targeted not the 99.9% of us who do not. Why is it that the majority is always inconvenienced by the minority?Do people actually have any brains? They sure don't use them if they do. As far as the books go I think we all need to send a message to the companies sending them to us. I say leave them where they are tossed! Sooner or later it will create an eyesore large enough for one of the idiots in charge of taking care of those things to take notice and then magically like a lighbulb lighting up they will go after these nasty overpriced, overstuffed phone companies that keep littering out properties and wasting our resources. I think the jerks should have to come back and clean up the mess they made!! Why should I throw away someone elses garbage and pay to have it hauled away? Boycott them ! everyone just leave them lay outside. Lets see how long it takes to get some action, or better yet if your extra ambitious collect a bunch of them and return the favor to the company. Round up a few neighbors with pickup trucks and fill them up to the top then drive to embarc or Verizons local stores and just dump them off in front. How can it be illegal. They have been doing it to us for years!! Time to fight back folks!! It will be fun and it will send those jerks a message!Lets return the favor they extended to us every year! John
