I guess if we lived in a democracy and our elected officials think that legalizing drugs would cause issue with the majority of persons in there pursuit of goals and everyday living, then they are doing what we elected them to do.

I would think the average person would realize legalizing anything that has negative affects on the major population would be wrong.

Time will tell I guess on legalization of such things, I hope they are not.
