Robert and Elizabeth Rakarich

Robert and Elizabeth Rakarich of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage with a surprise celebration with family and friends Nov. 27 in Butler.

Rakarich married the former Elizabeth Amszi on Nov. 25, 1961, in Pittsburgh.

They have four children, Rebecca Jackman of Slippery Rock, Brian Rakarich of Butler, Brad Rakarich of Butler and Blaine Rakarich of West Sunbury.

They also have six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Rakarich retired from AK Steel as a draftsman.

He is an active member of the YMCA.

Mrs. Rakarich retired from many various occupations.

The Rakariches are members of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.
