I do not like to hear the constant condeming of the Distice Justice Personnel. One DUI is a learning experience, not to say it is O.K., But "To ere is human to forgive divine" type of an attitude is more realistic. It would be wonderful if everyone were flawless and perfect, then who would we gossip about? Now I am sure that if any professional person had ongoing problems with Alcohol, it would be addressed. To have encountered those types of personal issues, and get past it, is called experience and can be applied in a positive direction. To sit back and speculate and throw stones at the District Justice, is not a positive approach. I highly respect the man for apologizing formally and correcting the problem. This took alot on his part. Now if DUI's became more and more, then I would say it became a public concern. Many therapists in Butler County have gone through drug and alcohol treatment, a judge or two has gone through drug and alcohol treatment. My concerns are the people who do these things like drink and drug and never get treatment. Gossiping about this should be considered harassement to our District Justice. The sex offenders in our country get more respect. I feel penalities should apply to people that attempt to cause a personal problem to anyone who sustains harassement because of a past problematic issue. Our professional people in Butler County are basically law abiding citizens. A difficult period in a person's life does not warrant ongoing gossip and critism. Some People truly do learn from their mistakes and move forward in a positive way. Christine, the man did not kill anyone and I am sure if he would have, the situation would be treated accordingly. If there is anything I hate more than gossip, it is gossip based on "What If". How ridiculous!!!!! This man does a great job and upholds the law, he paid like everyone else. Who do people think they are to get so personally involved, that they continually beat up someone for a past personal issue. Get a life!!!!!! We do have a great legal system and it is fair to all and that is called "The United States of America" with liberty and justice for all. People truly are equal Christine. That is the one thing we need to change in our country and that is not "being allowed to publicly slam and slander other people", without penalty. He paid his own price for his mistakes as he goes in accordance with the law as he does his job. There are certainly plenty of stone throwers in Butler.
