2:42 p.m. Sunday — Adam W. Poremba, 26, of Export, Westmoreland County, is accused of paying a woman $100 for sex. Or so he thought.Instead, the woman, 19-year-old Shawnna M. Bastian of Renfrew, allegedly stiffed Poremba.Police were called to Broad Street for a report of a man in a car soliciting women. Officers found the suspect, who appeared “nervous.”Poremba admitted he was waiting for a woman he met on a dating website. He told officers that he gave Bastian $100 but he didn't get what he paid for.Police later spoke to Bastian, who admitted meeting Poremba and taking his money. However, she claimed she “had no intent to have sex him,” the report said. “She used the money to purchase Suboxone on the street.”Poremba is charged with patronizing a prostitute. Bastian is charged with promoting prostitution.11:04 a.m. Sunday — Marques V. Holt, 30, of Butler was arrested after she allegedly assaulted another woman during an argument at a home on Leo Street.During the altercation, the alleged victim fell on top of a 6-year-old girl. The woman suffered scratches and bruises on her face and left arm.Holt was arraigned on two counts of simple assault, and released on nonmonetary bail.10:57 a.m. Saturday — Three young men landed in trouble with the law after showing up at a home on Center Avenue to fight another man.The suspects — Raheem R. Archer, 20, of Cranberry Township; Ryan T. Grame, 19, of Center Township; and Raymond C. Robinson, 18, of Butler — are accused of picking a fight with Josh Norris.A caller initially reported seeing a fight on Center Avenue across from a doughnut shop. The same caller told authorities that someone was video recording the fight.A second caller reported seeing the fight and hearing some of the combatants making threats to shoot each other.The three suspects and two others, a 19-year-old woman and 14-year-old boy, got into a car and drove away. Police stopped the car that Grame was driving on West Quarry Street.Police noted that because of the prior threats reported by the second caller, police took the occupants out of the car at gunpoint.Grame told officers that he and the others went to the alleged victim's house to retrieve a stolen cell phone, the report said. Norris suffered a number of scratches and bruises in the fight.A search of the car turned up a back pack in the car's back seat. The pack contained a broken bottle of rum. Robinson admitted the rum was his, police said. He acknowledged that he video recorded the fight.Grame later was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. The results showed his blood-alcohol content was 0.145 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.Game is charged with driving under the influence, DUI by a minor, disorderly conduct, underage drinking and driving without a license.Archer and Robinson are both charged with disorderly conduct. Additionally, Robinson is charged with underage drinking.7:20 p.m. Friday — Claude T. Taylor III, 19, of Butler was caught with suspected drugs after police stopped him for yelling on his cell phone on West North Street.Taylor was apparently being too loud when officers confronted him. But he ignored warnings to pipe down. At one point, a police report said, he told an officer to “shut up.”He was arrested for disorderly conduct. A subsequent search turn up a stamp bag of suspected heroin in a jeans pocket.In addition to disorderly conduct, Taylor is charged with possession of a controlled substance.12:03 p.m. Thursday — Matthew A. Hertzig, 32, of Chicora was caught allegedly shoplifting clothing and footwear from the Kmart store at Pullman Square.Hertzig is accused of going into a changing room and putting on a pair of khaki pants under the jeans he was wearing. He later went to the shoe section and put on a new pair of boots, placing his old pair of shoes in the box for the boots.The store manager stopped him, and police were called. Officers believed he was under the influence.A search of Hertzig's back pack turned up a bag of suspected marijuana, a marijuana pipe, used syringe, three empty stamp bags of heroin and a pill of the prescription drug zolpidem, a sedative used to treat insomnia.Police said he faces charges of retail theft, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, possession of a small amount of marijuana, and public drunkenness.

11:51 a.m. Monday — No one was injured when a car and a county-owned bus collided at Route 68 and Duffy Road.The crash happened when the car driven by Ashley Cyphert, 29, of Fenelton ran a red light and hit the Butler Area Transit Authority bus driven by Albert Elser, 60, of Slippery Rock. Cyphert was cited for the traffic light violation.11:13 a.m. Monday — Danny Jordan, 49, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence after he backed into an unoccupied vehicle at the gas pumps at the Get-Go store on North Main Street Extension. In addition to DUI, he was cited for careless driving5:51 p.m. Friday — The side mirror of a car driven by Justin King, 27, of Grove City clipped the back of a school bus that was stopped for a red light on Route 68 at Meridian Road. The accident occurred when King changed lanes. Karen Wilson, 60, of Ellwood City was driving the bus.
