Dick's relocating from Clearview Mall to Butler Twp. plaza
CENTER TWP — One of the Clearview Mall’s largest stores is moving out, but mall officials say a replacement is lined up.
Dick’s Sporting Goods is relocating to its new store at 400 Greenwood Plaza in Butler Township. That store will open in February, according to a press release by the company.
Mara Mrvos, a spokeswoman with J.J. Gumberg Co., the mall’s parent company, said Dick’s lease in the mall expires at the end of January, but added the mall has a new store to take its place.
“We do have a replacement tenant for Dick’s but we are not yet in a position to release any further details,” she said in an e-mail.
Dick’s, a sporting goods retailer based in Pittsburgh, is moving to a new development in Butler Crossing that will have a Mattress Firm store and a Starbucks coffee shop.
Dick’s relocation isn’t the only change happening at the mall.
Mrvos said the Mexican restaurant Compadres is slated to open in the mall this spring. The restaurant will be in the 7,000 square-foot space that had been occupied by different Asian restaurants in recent years.
