Paints rally to drop Sliders

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Travis Garcia tied the game with a three-run homer in the fourth inning and delivered the game-winning sacrifice fly in the sixth Friday night as the Chillicothe Paints defeated the Slippery Rock Sliders, 6-3, in Frontier League baseball play.

The Sliders (1-2) had built a 3-0 lead by scoring single tallies in each of the second, third and fourth innings.

Michael Richardson reached on an infield error to lead off the Slippery Rock second and later scored on a Jarrod Klausman ground ball out.

Nate Yoho tripled to lead off the third inning — his second triple in three games — and scored on Bryan Vickers' sacrifice fly. Klausman walked and scored on a Kory Lonergan double in the fourth.

Sliders starting pitcher Alex McEnaney took the loss, tossing three scoreless innings before being touched up for the Garcia homer.

Justin Drabek was the winning pitcher for Chillicothe (1-2), recording 5Z\c innings of relief.

Yoho had two of Slippery Rock's five hits.
