Two hurt in collision
A collision Wednesday night at the intersection of West Diamond and South Washington streets in Butler resulted in two people taken to the hospital.
A man driving alone along Washington Street around 9 p.m. stopped his Hummer at the stop sign and proceeded into the intersection when an eastboud PT Cruiser went through the intersection and collided with the Hummer, according to Butler city Police.
Eastbound traffic on Diamond Street does not have a stop sign.
The PT Cruiser had heavy, disabling front-end damage. The male driver, who experienced neck pain, and a front-seat passenger, a woman who complained of chest pains, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital by Butler Ambulance.
Two passengers in the rear of the PT Cruiser were uninjured.
The driver of the Hummer was unhurt and drove his vehicle from the scene.
The Butler City Fire Department assisted at the scene.
