Volunteers needed to help Walldogs paint the town

Butler expects to be better looking after a visit by a gang of Walldogs at the end of July.

And they are looking for volunteers to help them do that.

“The Walldogs are a group of highly skilled sign painters and mural artists,” according to the Walldog website at www.thewalldogs.com.

Once a year a group of these artists gather in a community to paint multiple murals and old-fashioned wall advertisements.

That is what will occur in Butler on July 27-31.

The city will benefit from the creation of 10 murals by the Walldogs. The murals will create a walking tour of Butler and will include subjects that have helped make Butler County great while fueling memories of days gone by.

Volunteers are needed to help with this event. Visit the website at

www.butlerwalldogs.com to registration and to fill out a volunteer form.Residents are needed to open their homes to some of the artists. They don't need to worry about feeding the artists since the festival committee will be take care of all their meals. They do need a place to shower and to have a bed to sleep in.
