Troy Double scored a pair of unassisted goals and assisted on another tally as Butler's freshman hockey team defeated Hampton 3-1 Thursday night at the Ice Connection.
Jake Campbell scored the other goal for the Golden Tornado (4-1). Goalie Clay Bachman stopped 15 of 16 shots.
Butler plays at 8:30 p.m. Thursday against Shaler at the Ice Connection.
