Ruth Alberta Burk, 80, of Butler died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Jameson Memorial Hospital, New Castle, after an illness.

She was born April 5, 1927, in Butler County.

She was a Protestant.

Surviving are four daughters: Vanda Burk of Boyers, Donna Wolfe and Shirley Burk, both of Nickleville, Venango County and Mary Hicks of Cabot; five sons, Thomas Caldwell and John "Deb" Burk, both of West Sunbury, Harry "Butch" Burk of Foxburg and William and Pete "Floyd" Burk, both of Parker; 20 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James David Burk, who died in 1973; two daughters; and a grandson.

<B>BURK</B> — Friends of Ruth Alberta Burk, who died Wednesday, April 25, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home</B>, Main Street/Route 38, Eau Claire. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Eau Claire Cemetery.
