Custer

Florence A. Custer, 84, of East Brady died Saturday at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born Nov. 25, 1922, in Cowansville, she was the daughter of Albert D. and Viola Brown Smith.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing the organ, word finds, puzzles, walking and watching wildlife.

Mrs. Custer attended the United Methodist Church in East Brady.

Surviving are two sons, Bill Custer and his wife, Linda, of Boyers, and Thomas Custer of Rimersburg; five daughters, Nancy Hess and her husband, Dan, of West Middlesex, Judy Hamilton and her husband, Larry, of Rimersburg, Linda Downing and her husband, Larry, of Brady Township, Clarion County, Sandy Bowser and her husband, Keith, of East Brady and Dianna L. Kriebel of Rimersburg; and two brothers, Omer R. Smith of Rimersburg and Samuel Smith of Emlenton.

Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Howard M. Custer, died Dec. 19, 1983. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Ronnie G. and Daniel Custer; seven brothers, and a sister.

<B>CUSTER </B>— Friends of Florence A. Custer, who died Saturday, April 28, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home</B>, 105 Fourth St., East Brady. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Russell, pastor of the United Methodist Church, East Brady, officiating. Burial will be at the Rimersburg Cemetery.
