Karl A. Schmidt of Ross Township, formerly of Spring Hill, died Tuesday.

He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed woodworking.

Surviving are his children, Karl S. Schmidt and Christine Bauer; his grandchildren, Justin Schmidt and Adam Bauer; and his siblings, Rosemarie Winberg, Ann Mohr, John Schmidt, Cecelia Gavran and Betty Lou Gsell.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Schmidt.

<B>SCHMIDT</B> — Friends of Karl A. Schmidt, who died Tuesday, May 1, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Friday at the <B>Sperling Funeral Home</B>, 408 Cedar Ave., North Side, where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
