Rodgers

Gladys M. Rodgers, 79, of 238 Stock Farm Road, Lake Township, Mercer County, died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at UPMC Pittsburgh after a short illness.

Born May 6, 1927, in Butler, she was the daughter of Herman and Gussie Risch Graff.

She was a graduate of Butler High School.

She and her husband owned and operated Islay's Dairy Store of Sandy Lake for more than 25 years, retiring in 1988.

She was a member of the Lakeview United Methodist Church and was active in its quilting group.

She married Frank H. Rodgers Aug. 17, 1946, and he preceded her in death Oct. 4, 2004.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Arnold J. (Kay) Baker of Jackson Center; a son, Raymond F. Rodgers of Jackson Center; three grandchildren,; and three sisters, Margaret Balph of Meridian, Mrs. Harold (Jean) Cross of Butler and Mrs. Gerald (Charlotte) Schroth of Slippery Rock.

She was preceded in death by a son, two sisters, and two brothers.
