The Chick-fil-A restaurant just off Route 228 in Adams Township is set to open its doors for the first time at 6:30 a.m. Oct. 1, a news release from the company said.

The new location at 600 Holden Drive is expected to bring about 100 jobs to the community and will feature a playground with sensory features, the company said.

The new location will also donate $25,000 to Feeding America toward the efforts of Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank as well as participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table progam, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, the news release continued.

To recognize its opening, the location will host an opening day “moove-in” party, where guests dressed in cow print dining-in or using the drive-thru will receive a free entree or “kid’s meal.”
