CRANBERRY TWP — An air conditioning unit malfunctioned Friday morning, starting a small fire at UPMC Cranberry Place Skilled Nursing Center on St. Francis Way in Cranberry Township.

The fire was quickly put out by UPMC staff, but not before fire, police and medical personnel responded. Cranberry firefighters arrived to make sure the area was safe and to assist in airing out the building.

No one was injured in the incident, but motorists were delayed on Dutilh Road south of Route 228.
