HARRISBURG — A Democratic lawmaker Thursday demanded that the Corbett administration pull a TV ad designed to educate Pennsylvania voters about the new photo-identification law, calling it offensive. Rep. Babette Josephs charged that the 30-second ad calls into question people's patriotism and their right to vote.

What angers Josephs most is the closing shot of a woman holding a Pennsylvania driver's license and saying, “If you care about this country, it's time to show it.” A state spokesman said Josephs misinterpreted the line and that it's intended to mean that viewers care about the country.

PITTSBURGH — The second of two Ohio men has pleaded not guilty to charges related to YouTube threats against the University of Pittsburgh.Brett Hudson, 26, of Hillsboro, Ohio was arraigned Thursday. He's charged along with 24-year-old Alexander Waterland.Investigators say Hudson and Waterland, of Loveland, Ohio claimed to be members of a group that had obtained confidential information they would release if the school didn't apologize for not safeguarding its data. Waterland has also pleaded not guilty. Neither man is charged in connection with bomb threats against the university.
