Officials from Adams Township and Mars Borough will hold the fifth in a series of joint public meetings to discuss a planned municipal merger at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, at the Adams Township municipal building.

As with the four previous public meetings on the merger, those who expect to attend the meeting are asked to register through a form on Adams Township’s website, adamstwp.org, by clicking on the merger information link on the homepage.

Voters from each of the municipalities will make the final decision on whether Adams Township and Mars will merge into a combined municipality through a referendum on the ballot for the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 3. A majority of residents of both municipalities have to vote yes for the merger to move forward.
