At least one person has died as a result of a multicar accident along William Flinn Highway in Brady Township.

The crash was first reported over Butler County Emergency scanner radio just before noon Tuesday, Sept. 15, and involved at least two vehicles: an Iron Mountain company semitruck and a small passenger vehicle. The truck was seen flipped on its side at the crash site, while the passenger vehicle also had signs of damage, including a detached front bumper.

The truck also appeared to drag down a power pole and power lines as a result of the crash.

According to a state trooper, one individual has been pronounced dead, although the trooper did not specify which vehicle the fatality was in.

Representatives from Iron Mountain arrived at the crash site, but stated they were not authorized to speak about the circumstances of the crash.

“The incident involving a collision between an Iron Mountain truck and a passenger vehicle is under investigation,” said a spokesperson from Iron Mountain, which has a facility in Marion Township. “We are cooperating with local law enforcement.”

The Butler County Coroner’s Office has told the Butler Eagle that they have been dispatched to the scene, but could not provide any further information on the situation.

A section of William Flinn Highway is blocked at the intersection with Duffy Road while police investigate the crash.

Additional information on the crash is expected from the Pennsylvania State Police later today.
