Martha Lawniczak
Martha A. Lawniczak, 70, of West Sunbury died at 1:31 p.m. Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 11, 1937, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of John and Anna Petrulak Gerrich
She was a member of the Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church in Pittsburgh.
Before moving to West Sunbury, she had worked at Steel City Electric in Pittsburgh. While living in West Sunbury, she was a homemaker and loved to cook for her family and friends. She also served as the judge of elections for Cherry Township for more than 30 years.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Lawniczak, Jr., whom she married July 6, 1957; a daughter and her husband, Lori Ann and Dr. William Bell of Monroe, Mich.; four sons, Edward "Eddie" Lawniczak III of West Sunbury, Glenn M. and Kirk A. Lawniczak, both of Ponchatoula, La., and Steven R. Lawniczak of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, Dylan and Lauren Bell; and a brother, John Gerrich of Cranberry Township.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
