Smith 8-over, misses cut
St. Jude Golf Club member and North Hills resident Nathan Smith fired a five-over-par 77 Friday in the second day of play at the 2011 Masters at Augusta National Golf Club.
Smith missed the cut, which was set at plus-one. He ended at plus-eight after two rounds.
His round Friday included two birdies and seven bogies. All of the bogies came on par-four holes.
Smith finished ahead of several notable golfers, including Vijay Singh, Ian Woosnam, Mike Weir and Ben Crenshaw.
Rory McIlroy leads the tournament at minus-10.
