Cecil E. Eppinger
Cecil E. Eppinger, 85, of Evans City died Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born May 31, 1922, in Harmony, he was the son of Lieben and Vera Powell Eppinger.
Mr. Eppinger attended Evans City High School, where he lettered in football and basketball.
He was a World War II Army veteran and had worked with his brother as a brick mason with Eppinger Contracting.
He was a member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Evans City.
He enjoyed bowling and model trains.
Surviving are two daughters, Amy Eppinger of Evans City and Sandy Frew and her husband, John, of New Castle; a son, Jack Eppinger and his wife, Beth, of Harmony; a brother, Robert Eppinger of Harmony; a sister, Donna Gray and her husband, Ron, of Connoquenessing; and four grandchildren, Laurie and Brent Eppinger and Jesse and Katelyn Frew.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie M. Eppinger, who died in 1996.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
