Manuel

Helen Manuel, 75, of Butler died Sunday evening at her home.

Born in West Tarentum, Aug, 21, 1932, she was a daughter of Thomas and Stella Sulenski Groszkiewicz.

She graduated from Tarentum High School in 1950 and was a homemaker. She formerly worked at the Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp. in Brackenridge.

Mrs. Manuel was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, where she served as a lector and Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister and was a member of St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers.She also belonged to the Interfaith Fellowship, the Pennsylvanians for Human Life, the R.C.I.A. Core Team at the church and was a member and past president of the Butler Deanery of the D.C.C.W.

She received the Mary DeMucci Service Award in 1999, and she received the Manifesting the Kingdom Award from Bishop Donald Wuerl in January 2006.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene G. Manuel, to whom she was married for 52 years; three sons, Timothy L. Manuel and his wife, Tori, of Butler, Terence T. Manuel and his wife, Margie, of Ambridge and Gary L. Manuel of Butler; a daughter, Mrs. John (Cynthia) Reddick of Butler; and five grandchildren, Nathan, Zachery and Elizabeth Manuel and Patrick and Olivia Reddick. She also is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Mary Jane) Dorn and Mrs. Willie (Irene) DeAngelis, both of Brackenridge, and Mrs. Fred (Marcella) Falise of Tarentum; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, the Rev. Roman Groszkiewicz, former pastor of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Slippery Rock and Zigmund Grosz.

<B>MANUEL</B> — Friends of Helen Manuel, who died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave. AMass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N.
