HARRISBURG — Gov. Tom Corbett’s administration and a British lottery operator say they continue to negotiate the extension of a deadline to decide on the company’s bid on a 20- to 30-year contract to manage the Pennsylvania Lottery.
Spokeswomen for the Department of Revenue and Camelot Global Services said Monday the talks continue without agreement. The bid was set to expire Dec. 31.
Blue lights urged for fallen officersPITTSBURGH — State police are encouraging people to add a blue light to their holiday window decorations in honor of fallen officers and their families.A Pittsburgh newspaper reports Monday that Project Blue Light was developed by Concerns of Police Survivors, a national nonprofit that represents more than 15,000 families of officers killed in the line of duty.“When I drive by, it does make my heart warm,” Trooper Steve Limani said.Trooper Stefani Plume of the Uniontown barracks said the blue lights indicate support for working officers or those who have lost a colleague, friend or family member.
