State Rep. Ellis receives committee assignments

HARRISBURG — State Rep. Brian Ellis, R-11th, this past week received his House committee assignments for his sixth term.

He will continue to serve on the House Appropriations Committee, where he was recently appointed to be the committee’s chairman of the Criminal Justice Subcommittee.

The Appropriations Committee drafts the state budget proposal. It also reviews all legislation to analyze the fiscal impact that any legislative proposal may have.

Additionally, Ellis was appointed secretary of the House Ethics Committee, and will continue to serve on the House Rules Committee.

He remains a member of the House Consumer Affairs, chairman of its Telecommunications Subcommittee, along with the Judiciary and Liquor Control committees.
