Man gets prison term on sex case
Robert L. Scott
A Butler man was sentenced to state prison on Thursday, after pleading guilty in June to a sex-related crime against a minor.
Robert L. Scott, 41, was sentenced to three to six years in a state correctional facility followed by 48 months state probation by Butler County Judge Timothy McCune.
Scott's attorney, Public Defender Charles Nedz, informed the court that a Sexual Offenders Assessment Board evaluation determined that Scott is not a sexually violent predator. He will be required to register as a Tier 3 Megan's Law sexual offender for life.
