Ralph C. McCurdy
Ralph C. McCurdy, 70, of Slippery Rock died unexpectedly early today.
Born Feb. 17, 1937, in Brady Township, he was the son of Loyal Ross McCurdy and Katie Miller McCurdy.
He was a life member of the Muddycreek Presbyterian Church, where he was a former Sunday school superintendent, elder and trustee.
He was a 1955 graduate of Slippery Rock High School and a member of the Future Farmers of America.
He was lifelong farmer and had shown Jersey and Holstein cattle at the Butler Farm Show. He was a Brady Township supervisor for 17 years.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Charles (Shirley) Albert of Slippery Rock, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgenna A. Wild McCurdy, who died Aug. 26, 1994, and a sister.
<B>MCCURDY </B>— Friends of Ralph C. McCurdy, who died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the Muddycreek Cemetery, Clay Township.
