Jerry Hafenrichter, 80, of Butler, formerly of Bellevue, died early Wednesday at his home after a two-year illness.

Born in Czechoslovakia in 1926, he immigrated to the United States in 1951 with his wife and three daughters.

He was a retired member of the Amalgamated Meat Cutters Union and a 50-year employee of the Corosell auto dealership in Bellevue.

He was a scratch golfer and an avid fisherman.

Surviving are his wife, Olga Roggenhofer Hafenrichter, to whom he was married for 62 years; three daughters, Hannelore Koretzka and her husband, Mike, of Orlando, Fla., Olga McKernan and her husband, Larry, of Cabot and Trudy White and her husband, John, of Butler; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

<B>HAFENRICHTER </B>— There will be no public visitation, and services for Jerry Hafenrichter, who died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, will be private.Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to VITAS Innovative Hospice Care.
