Bring a can, get a T-shirt
Fans attending Friday night's Seneca Valley at Butler football game at Art Bernardi Stadium will have the opportunity to exchange food for a T-shirt as part of the Soup for Shirts Drive.
Butler's senior class has put together a food drive for St. Vincent DePaul Society in an effort to help needy families in Butler County.
The first 300 fans to donate a non-perishable food item to a St. Vincent DePaul truck located outside the stadium will receive a "Tornado Alley"T-shirt.
"Tornado Alley" shirts are what the Butler fans wear in the student section.
"We wanted to come up with a way to increase the unity in the stands and help the community at the same time,"Butler senior class president Sean Lowry said.
"St. Vincent DePaul supplies local food banks and there's 700 starving families in our community, up from 400 from last year."
