Release a butterfly in memory of a deceased loved one at an event Sept. 13.

The Visiting Nurses Association will host a Community Celebration of Life and Butterfly Release from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at the Butler Fairgrounds, 1127 New Castle Road in Franklin Township.

The ceremony will include music, poetry, the reading of names and the release of butterflies in memory of those being honored. Community members are welcome to attend and take part in this time of remembrance.

Butterflies are available with a donation. Proceeds will support VNA Home Health and Hospice programs and the care and support they provide to individuals and families throughout the community, according to the association.
