PITTSBURGH — The Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh wants the state Gaming Control Board’s permission to add 19 table games and a $2 million ballroom.

Corey Plummer, the casino’s vice president of gaming, tells the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that gamblers are driving the demand for more table games, even though the casino’s slot machine revenues have been lower than projected.

Adding the extra games, including blackjack, roulette and poker derivatives, would give the casino 107 table games, third most in the state.
