Roberta L. Walker

Roberta L. Adams Walker of Evans City died Saturday at UPMC Passavant.

Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Robert G. and Catherine H. Dolan Adams.

Mrs. Walker was a member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church, Evans City.

She graduated from Oliver High School and the Southside School of Nursing. She was a nurse for Dr. Harry Nicklas, Dr. John Nicklas and St. John's Lutheran Home. She also worked at the Evans City Elementary School cafeteria and recently worked at Hartman's Water Hole Restaurant.

She had been a leader for Cub Scouts and Brownies. She also been a leader for years for the Ridge Runners 4-H Club and was a volunteer at the UPMCPassavant Cancer Center.

She was a life member and past president of the ladies auxiliaries of the Evans City Fireman and the Evans Fire Department.

Surviving are her husband, Donald L. Walker, whom she married May 21, 1952; a son, Glen A. Walker of Evans City; two daughters, Katie (Robert) Jamison of Evans City and Judy (Jay) Shisler of Zelienople; and three grandsons, Ryan, Derek and Aaron Walker.

She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

<B>WALKER</B> — Friends of Roberta L. Adams Walker, who died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Kinsey-Volz Funeral Home</B>, 328 W. Main St., Evans City. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev.
