GROVE CITY — Deborah Snyder, associate director of education career services at Grove City College, has received the 2010 Research/Publications Award from the American Association for Employment in Education.

The award recognizes Snyder for her years editing the association's national publication, “The Job Search Handbook for Educators.” She received the award at the association's national conference in Chicago in November.

The association's members include college and university career services professionals and school district human resources professionals. The group provides educational institutions with information related to teacher staffing.

PARIS — L’Oreal SA said its net profit rose 25 percent last year as strong demand for its consumer cosmetics and growth in developing markets in Asia and Latin America spurred higher sales and profitability.The French cosmetics giant said Friday that its consumer cosmetics business, which includes Garnier skin and hair care products and Maybelline makeup, increased sales more than 11 percent last year.
