Butler Memorial Hospital has received statewide recognition for its performance in patient safety, according to Independence Health System.

Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania, a statewide nonprofit trade organization, is including Butler Memorial Hospital in its 2026 Excellence in Patient Safety Recognition program. The recognition honors Pennsylvania hospital that have demonstrated low rates of healthcare-associated infections.

The Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania is recognizing 20 hospitals this year based on their performance during 2025.
