Brian Brown
Brian Curtis Brown, 67, of North Washington, passed away Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, at his home.
He was born Sept. 13, 1958, in Butler, the son of the late Harvey B. and Lillian (Ferguson) Brown.
Brian was a 1976 graduate of Moniteau High School. He was a retired postal worker for the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, golfing and hunting, and was an avid collector of memorabilia. Most of all, Brian loved his children and cherished the time he spent with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Amy Brown, of North Washington, whom he married Sept. 27, 2008; three sons, Owen (Cori) Brown, Ross (Aubrey) Brown and Connor Brown; his daughter, Kendal Brown; four granddaughters, Kailey, Kelsey, Briella and Esme; his sister, Barbara (Herb) Horner; three brothers, Bruce Brown, Barth (Cheryl) Brown, and his twin brother, Brent (Marcia) Brown; several nieces and nephews; his father- and mother-in-law, William and Wanda Mayhew; and his brother-in-law, Jared Mayhew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce McCarl.
BROWN — Friends of Brian Curtis Brown, who died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
Interment will follow in North Washington Cemetery.
