Memorable moment: Nov. 25, 1989: Freeport lost to Steel Valley 20-14 in the WPIALClass AA championship. Ironman quarterback Marcel Weems held off three would-be Yellowjackets tacklers to score the winning touchdown with 20 seconds left. "It was fourth down on the 3-yard line," said Dillen. "We had him stuffed, but he pushed his way in."
