Marine sales, repair shop to open
CONNOQUENESSING TWP — Boaters with engine trouble or who need that special item for their vessel will have a new spot for repairs and shopping by June.
George White, owner of the private Riverview Campground in East Brady, and a former employee of West Penn Marine, formerly on Route 8 south, is building and opening White’s Marine Service at the corner of Kriess Road and Buttercup Road.
He is building his own 40-foot-by-80-foot store and repair shop on the 3-acre corner lot across from Kriess Road Business Park.
“It was the right location,” White said. “I don’t need a lot of street traffic. Just so people know where I am.”
The store will feature marine repairs, as well as the sale of boat parts and accessories.
Construction of the new business is scheduled for completion in June, White said.
