Parson

John Craig Parson, 51, of Muddy Creek Township, died at 10:15 a.m. Friday at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio after a long illness.

Born in Ellwood City, Lawrence County, Sept. 23 1955, he was the son of John Oscar Parson and Mary Florence Bauder.

He was a coremaker at Besco Manufacturing until his disability in 1983.

Mr. Parson was a Protestant.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at camp and NASCAR. His also had an avid interest in John Deere tractors and farming.

Surviving are his wife, Sheri Lynn Johnston Parson, whom he married Sept. 16, 1977; a daughter and son-in-law, Brooke Ann and Brook Warren Seifert of Portersville; two sisters, Mary Kathryn "Kathy" Burk of Franklin and Judy Beachem and her husband, Gary, of Slippery Rock; a brother, Donald "Sut" Parson and his wife, Mary, of Prospect, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

<B>PARSON</B> — Friends of John Craig Parson, who died Friday, May 4, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Dindinger, pastor of the Drake Alliance Church of Volant, officiating.
