Fry

David W. Fry, 74, of Prospect Road, Evans City, died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

Born Dec. 1, 1933, in Butler, he was the son of John O. and Ruth Watters Fry.

He had worked in the silicon department at Armco and retired in 1993 after 42 years. He also was an avid woodworker and repaired lawn mowers.

Mr. Fry attended the Victory Family Church in Cranberry Township.

He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife, Pearl M. Shelenberger Fry, whom he married Sept. 15, 1962; three daughters and their husbands, Tammy and Sam Toy of Fenelton, Lauralee and Steve Grasak of Economy and Cheryl and Dan Henry of Evans City; three grandchildren, Amanda and Brittany Toy and Tyler Henry; a sister, Joan Carothers of New Castle; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Noretta Minglin.

<B>FRY </B>— Friends of David W. Fry, who died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Keith Eggert, of Victory Family Church, officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Burial Estates.Officers and members of VFW Post 249 and American Legion Post 778 will conduct military honors at the cemetery.Information and a private guest book are available at www.thompson-miller.com.
