Richard Dale Arner, 82, of Estero, Fla., died Sunday at Gulf Coast Hospital, Fort Myers, Fla.

Born June 8, 1925, in Ford City, he was the son of Henry and Gertrude Brown Arner.

He served with the Air Force as a pilot during World War II.

Mr. Arner was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Manorville, Armstrong County. He also was a member of the Elks and the senior group of Naples, Fla.

He was an architect who did private consulting work.

Surviving are a brother, Paul A. Arner of Aliquippa; two sisters, Helen (Gilbert) Spence of Ford City and Shirley A. Beasley of Kansas City, Mo.
