Ruth Ann Metz, 77, of Harmony died Thursday at UPMC Passavant Hospital.

Born April 28, 1930, in Harmony, she was the daughter of Edward H. and Helen Schott Kristophel.

Mrs. Metz was a homemaker who enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She loved to oil paint and enjoyed western square dancing.

She had worked at Passavant Retirement Community for 15 years.

She is survived by her husband, William Robert "Skip" Metz, whom she married July 12, 1950; one son, Scott W. Metz of Harmony; one daughter, Mrs. Dayne (Barbara) Dally of Evans City; three grandchildren, Bryan Dally of Harmony, Brad Dally of Lockhaven and Kara Dally-Patton of Germany; two great-grandchildren, Ayden Dally of Harmony and Natalie Patton of Germany; one sister, Peg Pratt of St. Cloud, Fla.; two nieces, Diane Burns and Julie Buettner, and one nephew, Michael Stauffer.
