Keystone awaits large office space
WARRENDALE, Allegheny County — Two buildings capable of accommodating large office space are coming to the Keystone Summit Corporate Park.
Keystone Summit Corporate Park is the 101 acres owned by the former FORE Systems and Marconi Corp. in the Thorn Hill Industrial Park, which is operated by Regional Industrial Development Corp.
Keystone Property Group has announced that the pair of buildings in the $32 million construction project will have up to 150,000 square feet of space.
Bill Glazer, president of Keystone Property Group, said the large-space buildings will be a welcome addition to the Cranberry Township-area business market.
“Of the more than 3.5 million square feet of Class A office space that exists in the Cranberry submarket, less than 300,000 square feet is currently available, almost none of which is able to accommodate the needs of large users,” said Glazer.
The five large-user buildings that exist at the site are leased by H.J. Heinz, Westinghouse Electric, Siemens AG and Federated Investors.
Rich Gottlieb, Keystone’s senior vice president, said on Tuesday that construction will begin in the spring or summer and take a year to complete.
He said Keystone is in talks with a handful of large-user corporations. The buildings are expected to house up to 700 employees.
