Additional agencies joined the Blind Association to conduct the program and screen children of preschool age across the county for sight, hearing, speech and language ability, and learning potential. Also, white barrels were placed at locations throughout the county for donations of old eyeglasses and silver and gold jewelry to aid the needy.
